Headline Speaker, Killian Mullarney

‘Reflections on 50 Years of Bird ID’. Yes, that’s the name of the headline talk at this year’s Migfest and yes, this will be given by Killian Mullarney! What a name to have for the return of the Spurn Migration Festival after a 2020 hiatus.

There are less than two months until the start of Migfest 2021!

This year the event will be organised from a series of marquees in North Field, rather than the usual hub of Westmere Farm. These fields will provide us with a more open air perspective to the event and will include the usual parking and camping facilities, walks, talks, exhibitions and food throughout the weekend. The new clubhouse at Sandy Beaches caravan site will host a lecture theatre where talks will be delivered by various speakers throughout the weekend to a smaller audience than normal.

Our main keynote speaker has now been confirmed and we are delighted to say that Killian Mullarney will be delivering the Andy Roadhouse Memorial Lecture:

‘Reflections on 50 years of bird ID’

It’s sure to be another great event and as ever, you can buy your tickets on the Spurn online shop here. We’ll be uploaded the event programme onto here soon! Keep up to date by following Spurn Bird Observatory on Twitter @spurnbirdobs
